Former first minister Jack McConnell today resigned as leader of the Labour party in Scotland following his party's defeat at the hands of the SNP in May's Holyrood election. More ...Jack didn't deserve to lose the election but you know, shit happens. History will record that he led Scotland well and made a lasting, positive contribution to Scotland's story. He'll contribute more.
